Have you ever taught art? If so, what was the most satisfying thing about teaching art?
I teach art to adults at a small, local art school. I never wanted to be a teacher, but the director of the school saw a painting of mine in an exhibit and asked me to teach. She had to ask a few times, and I finally said yes because I ran out of excuses and reasons to say no. I'm so grateful that she believed in me. I had no teaching experience, and as I mentioned am not formally trained. Six years later, teaching truly is one the joys in my life. Although it sounds cliché, being able to share my knowledge and watch others grow and improve with my help is extremely satisfying and fulfilling.
